What we collect, who we pass it to, and how to get it back
You are handing a broker your business details. This page says plainly what happens to them, including the part most policies bury: we pass them to a third party, and we are paid when they lend.
This policy covers ecommerceloans.com.au and any enquiry you make through it. It is written to be read rather than skimmed past, so it is shorter and blunter than most.

Who is collecting your information?
Ecommerce Loans, a sole trader operated by Andrew Beckett, ABN 74 834 137 623. You can reach us at andrew@ecommerceloans.com.au or on 0468 902 233.
Ecommerce Loans is a finance broker, not a lender, and acts as a referrer. Enquiries are introduced to the holder of Australian Credit Licence 530764, whose team assesses and facilitates each application.
What do you collect?
Only what you type into a form, plus anonymous information about how the site is used. We do not buy data about you, and we do not run advertising trackers.
- 01Enquiry details. Your name, mobile, email, ABN, the amount you are after and when you would like to be called.
- 02ABN lookup results. When you enter an ABN we look it up against the Australian Business Register, which is a public register. That returns your registered entity name, entity type, ABN status and date, GST registration and the state of your main business location. We do not create any of this. It is already public, and you can see the same record yourself at abr.business.gov.au.
- 03Partner referrals. If an accountant, bookkeeper or agency introduces you, they give us your business name, contact name and phone or email. We ask them to confirm you know about the introduction before they send it.
- 04Anonymous usage data. Which pages are viewed and which buttons are clicked. This records no name, email, phone or ABN. It is a count, not a profile.
Who do you give it to?
The holder of Australian Credit Licence 530764, so they can assess your application, and the lenders on the panel that your application is submitted to. That is the point of the enquiry, and it is how a broker works.
We are paid by the lender at settlement, and that amount is disclosed to you in writing before you sign anything. We do not sell your information, we do not pass it to marketing lists, and we do not share it with anyone who is not directly involved in placing your finance.
If a partner introduced you, we confirm the outcome with that partner so they can keep advising you. We do not share your financials with them.
Do you use cookies or tracking?
We use a first-party count of page views and button clicks, stored on our own server, which records nothing that identifies you. If Google Analytics is enabled on this site it is configured with IP anonymisation and is not used for advertising or remarketing. There are no Meta, LinkedIn or advertising pixels on this site.
Australian privacy law does not require a consent pop-up for this kind of measurement, so we have not added one. If you would rather not be counted at all, browser do-not-track and content-blocking extensions work here as they do anywhere.
How long do you keep it?
Enquiry details are kept while we are working on your finance and afterwards where a lender or the credit licensee is required by law to retain application records. Where we hold information only for our own purposes and it is no longer needed, we delete it.
How do I see it, change it or have it deleted?
Email andrew@ecommerceloans.com.au and ask. You can request a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within 30 days, and there is no charge.
Where an application has already been submitted, some records sit with the credit licensee or the lender rather than with us, and their own retention obligations apply. We will tell you when that is the case and who to contact.
What if I am not happy with how you handled it?
Tell us first, at andrew@ecommerceloans.com.au, and we will look into it. If you are not satisfied with the outcome you can take a privacy complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If this changes, the review date at the top of the page changes with it. We do not quietly revise policies and leave the date alone.
Give us the basics below and we’ll call you within the hour, or at the time you choose, then come back with the two or three offers worth your time.
