Most trade finance runs 90 to 120 days maximum. If your cash cycle is longer, an overdraft or line of credit usually fits better.

Why is there a 90 to 120 day limit?

Make sure if you expect the cycle of cash to be longer than 90 days that you look at overdraft products instead. Trade finance is built for the gap between paying a supplier and getting paid yourself, not as an ongoing working capital facility, so most lenders cap terms at 90 to 120 days maximum.

Do I need full financials to apply?

Trade finance can be achieved with minimal alt-doc information, bank statements and basic identifying details, for facilities up to around $250,000. Above that, full financial information and potentially more security is required.

No. Most trade finance is used domestically, funding a purchase from another Australian supplier. Overseas purchases can be financed too, and the asset can sometimes be refinanced to a traditional asset finance product once it lands.
The share of the order you need to sell, at your margin, to cover the financing cost. Everything sold beyond that point is profit.
