Meet Andrew Beckett

Founder and principal broker at Ecommerce Loans. Every enquiry through this site reaches him directly, not a call centre or a junior on commission.

“I’ve worked across thousands of applications and approvals over the past decade. That volume, paired with knowing exactly how each lender reads a deal, is the edge I bring to every file.”

Andrew Beckett

Founder and principal broker, Ecommerce Loans. 10+ years in Australian SME, asset, trade and consumer lending across Shift, Iron Capital, Lumi and Lend, represented through CAFBA, FBAA and MFAA.

Why did Andrew start Ecommerce Loans?

Because the two halves of his career belonged together. Andrew spent more than a decade inside lenders and a broking business, and also worked in a technology business built around online lead generation. Ecommerce Loans puts those together: what he learned about how lenders decide, and what he learned about online traffic and content. The aim is to build something that helps business owners make better finance decisions, and to connect with SME owners right across Australia.

What does 10+ years across Shift, Iron Capital, Lumi and Lend mean for you?

It means thousands of applications over a career on both sides of the table: inside lenders, and in broking. That’s pattern recognition that only comes from volume. Having worked inside lenders, not just brokered from outside them, means knowing how a lender reads a file, what gets a deal approved quickly and what gets it knocked back, before it’s ever submitted.

Why work with a broker who knows the panel personally?

Direct working relationships with brokers and credit teams at 80+ non-bank lenders mean knowing who underwrites your kind of file, not just which lenders exist on a comparison spreadsheet. For the full picture on how that translates into your application, see how a business loan broker works.

Does the advice change depending on your industry?

Yes, deliberately. Ecommerce, wholesale, trades, hospitality, transport and professional services all underwrite differently, a lender assessing a civil contractor looks for completely different signals than one assessing a Shopify store. Working across all of them, not specialising in just one, is what lets the advice stay specific to your business rather than generic. See the Industries menu above for how that plays out sector by sector, from ecommerce to wholesale and trade.

No cost to you, disclosed in writing

Getting in touch doesn’t cost you anything. For most applications, we’re paid a commission by the lender you choose once your loan settles, and that amount is disclosed in writing before you sign anything. If nothing settles, there’s no fee either way.
