How we write, source and correct what’s on this site
Every figure on ecommerceloans.com.au is either fetched from a named source or clearly marked as general guidance. Here’s exactly how that works, and who’s accountable when it doesn’t.
This page exists so you don’t have to take our content on faith. It sets out who writes and reviews what’s published here, how AI tools are used in that process, how we’re paid, and what happens when we get something wrong.

Who’s accountable for what’s published
Andrew Beckett, founder and principal broker, is personally accountable for every page on this site. Andrew has 10+ years in Australian SME, asset, trade and consumer lending across Shift, Iron Capital, Lumi and Lend, and is represented through CAFBA, FBAA and MFAA. Nothing goes live under an anonymous or pseudonymous byline.
How AI is used to draft content here
Some pages on this site are drafted with AI assistance. Every claim involving a number, a threshold, an eligibility criterion or a named source is checked by fetching that source directly during the drafting process, not recalled from a model’s training data. A draft doesn’t go live until Andrew has reviewed it. We don’t publish unreviewed machine output.
How we’re paid, and what that does and doesn’t influence
Ecommerce Loans is a finance broker, not a lender. We’re paid a commission by the lender a client chooses, and we disclose the amount in writing before anyone signs. No lender pays for placement, ranking, or a favourable mention on this site, and nothing here is written to steer a reader toward a specific lender for our benefit over theirs. Where a page compares options, including our own panel against a major bank’s own product, the comparison is built from each provider’s own published criteria, fetched directly, not assumed.
How claims get sourced, and how often they’re checked
Every source cited inline on this site is listed, with what it’s used for and where, on our Data Sources page. We don’t cite a competing broker or lender’s marketing content as a source, and we don’t repeat a statistic we couldn’t verify against something we fetched ourselves, even if a competitor’s page uses it. Pages carrying rates, thresholds or eligibility figures are checked again whenever they’re substantively updated, and the review date is shown on the page.
What we don’t do
- We don’t invent a statistic, or repeat one we found but couldn’t independently verify.
- We don’t cite a competing broker’s or lender’s blog as the source for a factual claim.
- We don’t publish anonymous or AI-only content with no named human reviewer.
- We don’t let a lender review or approve content before it’s published.
